World’s most expensive desserts

They say everyone loves chocolate, so let’s talk about the world’s most expensive desserts.

It doesn’t matter if you like dark, white or milk chocolate, I’m sure that you found yourself at least once entering a shop just to buy a box of chocolates. Call me crazy, but I love to treat myself from time to time with an expensive box of fine chocolates while I watch a movie. I also think it’s a great present to offer. I guess that’s why some people are trying their best to make the most delicious and luxurious desserts there are. Let’s discover some of the world’s most expensive desserts.

This is thought to be the most expensive cake in the world and was designed by Chef D.K (Dimuthu Kumarasinghe), Group Skills Development Chef for Aitken Spence Hotels and Heritance Hotels & Resorts. It has the shape of a pirate’s ship and has ten layers with flavors like coconut meringue, cinnamon, zucchini, pumpkin and pistachio. As that was not enough, the cake is adorned with the rarest stones from the Sapphire family and draped with beautiful jewellery, including necklaces, rings and brooches.

Strawberries Arnaud’s â€" $1.4 million

These mouth-watering ice-cream strawberries with citrus and red wine are well known, but Arnaud’s restaurant in New Orleans French Quarter goes far beyond and offers the strawberries with a unique diamond ring once belonging to the British financier Sir Ernest Cassel. Also, they are accompanied by a rare port from a $24,850 King’s Charles X crystal cave liqueur set.
