Letâs find out about Angelina Jolieâs Style Evolution!
Angelina is now a fashion icon and an example for any woman when it comes to style. She takes advantage of her natural beauty, so she has a casual style and a natural make-up style. On the red carpet she is amazing. When she was younger her style was obviously different and the men in her life influenced her choices to wear in red carpet occasions, which ranged from Goth to Grunge to Sexy and Stylish.
Her first red carpet apparitions had nothing in common with girly dresses and pearls. She liked to go long and dark for the Oscars, pairing her looks with winged-out eyeliner and a light lip color.
By the â90s and early 2000s, she started to embrace a gothic rocker side, wearing graphics tees and black clothing that only seemed to accentuate her pale complexion.
In 1997, Angelina had emerged in the public eye as an actor in her own right. And one with a darker side than Hollywood was used to, as evidenced by this shaved âdo. Her style was actually similar to one of her bigger characters: Lara Croft, which exclusively wore rugged boots and tight-fitting black clothes.
By this time, we thought we had her style figured out. But, surprise, she makes another unexpected change. Â She turns up with a blonde style that was much more Marilyn Monroe than downtown punk.
Of course, I cannot exclude the Billy Bob years. Jet black hair, sultry makeup, vials of blood around the neck. Here is where she enters full-on wild child phase.
The moments she started to change her style were around Brad Pitt entering her life and adopting her first child, Maddox. She ditched the harsh makeup, overload of leather and wacky hairstyles, and has developed a couture look that highlights her true beauty. As her entourage of adorable children has multiplied, so has her collection of amazing high-fashion pieces. And of course, she still manages to show off her enviable legs with dramatically-slit gowns.
Jolie is always in the watch list of fashion critics because she never fails to catch the eye of people around her and she still surprises us with her bold choices. The evolution of her style in choosing her wardrobe in the red carpet definitely shows how she has grown and matured in the industry. Here are her latest years red carpet appearances, so we can see how she has transformed.
In 2009 she wore a Versace nude one-sleeved chiffon gown with thigh-high split for the Cannes Film Festival premier of âInglorious Basterds.â. She looked ravishing with the nude colored gown, especially with her red lipstick.
In 2010, an Atelier Versace ivory white long-sleeved gown for the premier of her film âThe Tourist.â White couldnât get any sexier, especially with the thigh-high split.
This year, a Saint Laurent menswear-inspired ensemble for the British Academy Film Awards. She wore the tailor-made suit to match Bradâs.
I saved for the end my favorite look, her green Atelier Versace gown that she wore at the Golden Globes 2011.
I hope you enjoyed reading this article and that Angelinaâs bold outfits inspired you to try different looks and find your best style.
