This luxurious building is located in Monaco and is own by an unnamed Arab Sheik who purchased it for $305 million. It actually was for a long time the world’s most expensive penthouse, until the Odeon Tower took its place.

The elaborate design of this two-story Monaco penthouse with stunning views of the Mediterranean was constructed by Candy and Candy, a London based firm.

They included a full height library, infinity pool, secure panic room with surveillance cameras, cinema rooms and every other thing that you would label as luxury.

Any true lover of luxury would immediately appreciate this penthouse’s styles of grandeur and elegance. It really makes me say that they don’t do houses like this anymore.

First, you will meet the dramatic stairway that leads into a romantic gallery featuring exquisite lighting design, beautiful surrounding sculptures and ornamental plants.

This house is made for truly classy persons, as the amazing two-story library proves it with its elegance. The library best represents the style of the whole penthouse because of its detailed ceiling and stunning overhead chandelier.

The dining room is perfect and luxurious. Two crystal chandeliers are reflected in the metallic coffer ceiling giving the room an elegant touch.

The master bedroom is designed in a neutral tone and is slightly more modern than the rest of the estate, but keeps that elegant atmosphere we got used to. I don’t know what is more beautiful, the room itself or the matching master bath.

The little but beautiful and bright office is amazing because of its double mirrors that create an amazing illusion of a panoramic seascape.

And the most amazing feature of the house, I believe is the English garden effect in the veranda. This is making this penthouse feel dreamlike.

You will say that an omelette has nothing luxurious about it, that it’s just scrambled eggs, but don’t jump to conclusions. There is a place that makes the most expensive omelette and they claim it is actually very tasty.

You will find this amazing dish at Norma’s, a restaurant in Manhattan’s Le Parker Meridien Hotel. They called this egg-cellent omelette the Zillion Dollar Lobster Frittata.

Now, why is it so expensive and what makes it different from a usual omelette? This lavish dish is stuffed with lobster â€" one whole lobster, to be exact â€" and topped off with a nice pile of caviar.

The American Sturgeon caviar used on top of the omelette ordinarily costs about $65 an ounce and they use 10 ounces, so $650 worth of premium caviar. The rest of the money goes to the whole lobster, eggs, cream and chives.

It is surprising how, even if it costs so much, Marisa Zafran, Parker Meridien’s director of public relations said that:

‘We actually don’t make much money on it, we sell it at about cost.’

So, who eats this expensive dish? According to Marisa Zafran, the restaurant sells about 12 $1,000 omelettes each year. And for those of you who are not willing to pay that much but want to try it, there is also scaled down version of it available for $100. The restaurant sells about 10 of the $100 omlettes each month.

It is impressive that the idea was successful, hence it was launched in 2004 when expensive food was not at all a trend. This is what Emile Castillo, Norma’s executive chef thinks:

‘We knew it was going to be a very expensive dish, so we decided to have some fun with it. It tastes incredible, though. It’s not just a gimmick.’

I don’t know about you, but they convinced to want to try at least the $100 version. Plus, at Norma’s you can find very appealing breakfast concoctions, like the  Donut Even Go There French Toast, which is cheesecake-stuffed and coconut-rolled french toast served with orange drizzle and vanilla ice cream. Yum!

The most expensive home ever purchased below 57th St, New York, comes at the unbelievable price of $57,25 million.

The four-floor penthouse was bought by media mogul Rupert Murdoch, this being his third record at buying/selling expensive homes in order to buy even more expensive ones!

The home is formed of two pieces, which were sold separately, a $50 million triplex penthouse and a $16.5 singular floor, so Murdoch “saved” $9 million.

With more than 10,000 square feet, the impressive house reaches from the 57th to the 60th floor of One Madison in the Flatiron district.
