#5 Fujiyama â€" 79 meters

Designed by TOGO, our #5 roller coaster is made from steel and it is located in Fujiyoshida, Yamanashi, Japan, at Fuji-Q Highland Park. It was once considered the tallest roller coaster in the world. It was opened in 1996 and has 79 meters (259 feet). Fujiyama was named after Mount Fuji, located on the West part of Tokyo. ‘Fuji’ means king and ‘yama’ means mountain.

#4 Leviathan â€" 93 meters

Designed by Bolliger & Mabillard, Leviathan is located at Canada Wonderland in Vaughan, Ontario, Canada (to be more specific, in the Medieval Faire section). The roller coaster measures 1.672 meters length (5.486 feet) and 93 meters height (306 feet) and reaches a top speed of 148 km/h (or 92 miles/h). Leviathan was opened in 2011, 18 August.

#3 Tower of Terror II â€" 115 meters

Tower of Terror II was designed by Intamin and it is located on the Gold Coast, Queensland, Australia, at the Dreamworld amusement park. The construction cost $16 million. This roller coaster was opened on 23 January 1997 and  was the first in the world which reached 160.9 km/h. Tower of Terror II is made from steel and it’s a shuttle roller coaster.

#2 Top Thrill Dragster â€" 130 meters

Another roller coaster designed by Intamin. Top Thrill Dragster is an accelerator roller coaster made from stell, located in Sandusky, Ohio, at Cedar Point. It was built in 2003 and it was the world’s tallest roller coaster but in 2005 Kingda Ka surpassed it.

#1 Kingda Ka â€" 139 meters

You have the guts to take a ride on the tallest roller coaster in the world? 139 meters is a long shot. Designed by Intamin, Kindga Ka reaches 206 km/h in 3.5 seconds.  Kindga Ka measures 950 meters length (3.118 feet), 127 meters drop (418 feet) and 139 meters height (456 feet).
