Road Racing World Championship Grand Prix (1949) represents the premier championship of motorcycle road racing.

Currently, it is divided into 3 classes : MotoGP, Moto2 and Moto3.

MotoGP is the elite class of Grand Prix and leasing a bike for a rider in this class costs up to $3 million to $3.5 million for a racing season.

We begin our top 10 of the highest-paid MotoGP riders with American Colin Edwards.

Nicknamed the Texas Tornado, the professional motorcycle races received this year a nice salary of $950.000. And at the age of 40, Colin Edwards is one of the best MotoGP racers.

Edwards started his career in 2003 and since then he has won 31 rides. Also, he has one World Superbike 2 times and last year, at MotoGP World Championship, he finished 14th, with 41 points.
