The Model J is a big car and the body was designed by Frank Hershey and constructed by Murphy of Pasadena on a truck-type ladder frame.
Today an aircraft engine builder, Lycoming built the 6.9 liter straight-eight twin-cam engine. Celebrities such as Clark Gable, Jim Cagney but also royalty owned Model Js.
Unfortunately, the company died, leaving behind almost 500 models that were built in 1937.
